Scott B. asks: What is the symbol for the Panamanian Balboa?
Panama uses the US dollar. The older collectible notes from 1933 and through the 1940’s has Balboa spelled out. This is also true on Balboa coinage. Panama is an artificial country created out of the northern part of Columbia expressly to be the host for the Panama canal. On currency markets the Balboa is referred to as PAB.
