The coin is a Spanish, Charles IIII 8 Escudos with the bust of Charles III (they didn’t know what the new king looked like so they kept the old portrait for a good number of years. (No e-mail and attachments back then). The Mint mark you described is Santiago, Chile, however the assayer would be “DA” not “FM”. Take another look at your coin. Values depending on condition: $1500 – $4000.
